There's so many stories to tell... Isaac is growing and developing so much. I think he has grown 3 inches in the last few months. We had to scramble to get him pants that weren't high waters. And after 2 years of being the pickiest eater on the planet, Isaac suddenly developed an appetite and will now RUN to the table to eat food. You dont know how happy this makes me!!!
His language is getting more complex as are his 2 year old opinions. The other day on the way from church he told us he learned "Jesus said be kind". Within a couple minutes, he yelled at Nae nae about something and we reminded him about being kind. He indignantly said, "NO I BE KIND TO PEOPLE AT CHURCH, NOT NAE NAE" Yes - he did have to apologize.
Sometimes though he is so polite and friendly you just want to hug him. The other day we brought him to an appointment and he very nicely told the woman his name was Isaac KINE and that it was "nice to meet you!" She was quite impressed and we were just the proud parents. On our way home he proudly expressed to us that he hadnt roared at anyone and he only roars at home now!
Fast forward one day. Rick is in Target with Isaac in the cart. Isaac suddenly starts yelling at this woman behind us "NO! YOU NO LOOK AT ME!! PAPA< PEOPLE NOT LOOK AT ME". Rick quieted him then he immeditely said "I need go home! I need go home now" He is certainly a character...he's two, what are ya gonna do!
He is also pretty close to being potty trained, at least during the day. Phew at least we won't have 2 in diapers hopefully!
The other day i mentioned to Isaac that the baby was kicking me. He became very protective and started yelling "______" you no kick Mama!!! You no kick Mama!!" It was very sweet. I explained to him that it didnt hurt and that's what babies do and he was satisfied with that. Sometimes he tells me he has a baby in his tummy too - baby Austin he says. (Who is the baby of a couple we know!" He's excited to be a big brother. He tells me all the things he's going to teach "____" to do - read, play in the sandbox, and eat vegetables. I know he will make a great big brother, even if he IS expecting an instant playmate.Comments:Add a comment:
