Aaah wuv yoooooo....oh my goodness if you could translate that when you read it you know how much we were overwhelmed with love and joy when Isaac returned those words to us about a week ago. "I love you..."
He has turned into a little parrot. He has been repeating everything he hears. These days words like "spaghetti" and "coccoon" fly from his mouth with ease. He tells us about his "big dump truck" and much to our glee spent the afternoon saying "dak ta kine" that is "Dr.Klein" after we had told him he was free to become a dr if he wanted so we can call him Dr Klein.
Today we also discovered another talent he has been hiding. He can count! We got him a little kiddie splash pool and after playing in it for a while I told him it was almost time to get out. Then I told him that when I counted to 5 it was time to leave. I figured I'd take a long time to count to 5 but when I said "ONE" he finished counting for me. So of course we didnt leave because i had to spend lots of time giving him hugs and then I just HAD to let him stay a little longer.
He also recognizes several letters very well. He knows and can point out O, P, B, R, E, Y, A, K, He loves to spell out the letters he recognizes on signs and T-shirts and where ever he sees it.
He loves to watch Dora the Explorer, Thomas the Trian, Oswald and anything with bugs or excavation equipment. He won't go anywhere without his dump truck. Rick still has all his boyhood Tonka trucks so Isaac was able to get his Papa's trucks and now LOVES them. He tries bringing them to bed with him.
Speaking of going to bed, he is now very picky about which books he wants read at bedtime and he needs at least 5 or 6 read to him before he will go to bed without complaining. Lately he has liked most Dr Seuss and Bear snores on and his Dora says Good night book.
So, thats the short version of Life with the Isaac -attack. Tune in next time for his latest escapadesComments:Add a comment:
