Just some quick sweet memories before I forget.
The other day I heard Isaac talking to himself (he does that a lot :-) and to my amazement, he was counting, uno, dos, tres, cuatro (that was pronounced a little funky), cinco, seis. I have never taught him this!! I guess I have Dora the Explorer to thank!! Speaking of Dora, he now calls my pocketbooks, backpacks and has his own backpack to cart his stuff around.
He got a new trainset for his birthday and loves putting the trains away in the station. When he has them put away, he tells them, "goodnight, sweet dreams!"
He has begun sleeping in his new room with his big boy bed. Nightime is going well but naps have been a bit iffy. Hopefully, he's not considering dropping his nap. (NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!)
Isaac's favorite pastime in the world continues to be his sandbox. However he calls both sand and the sandbox by the same name. The other evening Rick was taking Isaac's sandals off and Isaac kept pointing to his toes and saying, "Sandbox, sandbox". Apparently he had some sand stuck in his toes.
Isaac always has a warm welcome for us when we come in from outside. He leaves whatever he is doing and races across the room to give a big big hug. Makes every homecoming a wonderul thing!!Comments:Add a comment:
